Product is the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — NO hard drive included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended solely for hard drive repair or data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your drive’s issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most replacement boards require unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip for the drive to function correctly; the ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the new board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
