This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the physical hard drive is not included. We stock a large number of PCBs, so the unit you receive may vary slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs include unique data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
