This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many WD PCBs store unique calibration and firmware information in a ROM (memory) chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically transplanted, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
