This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY. The drive itself is not included. Because we have a large inventory of PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. This PCB is intended for data recovery and hard drive repair work. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive circuit boards store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. You must either transfer the ROM chip or copy its data to the replacement board for proper function. If the ROM chip can be physically moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician can usually perform that task. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service. This service includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
