This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive or other components are included. Because we keep a large inventory of similar boards, the actual PCB sent may vary slightly from the photo. The board is supplied for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Before ordering, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip that is required for proper operation. That ROM chip or its data must be copied or moved to the replacement board. If the ROM can be transplanted, a local computer technician can typically perform the task. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
