This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — NO hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will address your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most replacement PCBs contain a ROM (memory) chip with unique drive-specific data that is required for proper operation. That ROM or its contents must be transferred to the new board (or the new board reprogrammed) for the drive to function. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprograms the new board with the correct ROM data.
