This sale includes the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is provided. We maintain a large inventory, so the exact circuit board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for HDD repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the board will address your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive circuit boards store unique calibration and configuration in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved to or copied onto the replacement board. If physical chip transfer is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
