This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — a complete hard drive is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. To determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored on a ROM "memory" chip that is essential for correct drive operation. That ROM chip or its data must be moved onto the replacement PCB, or the replacement board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM contents. If the chip can be relocated, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
