This listing is for the hard drive PCB (logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will fix your drive by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
