This sale is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we have many similar PCBs in stock, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery, this PCB should be validated for compatibility before installation. Please consult our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide to determine whether a replacement board will resolve your issue, and review the Donor Matching Guide to confirm part compatibility. Many HDD PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
