Item is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs store unique parameters in the ROM ("memory") chip; that ROM data must be transferred or replicated on the replacement board for correct drive operation. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
