This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Use: This replacement circuit board is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery work. Before purchasing, verify that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by consulting our Hard drive diagnostics guide. Confirm compatibility by checking the Donor Matching Guide. Important: Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique data stored in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement PCB. If the chip can be physically moved to the new board, a qualified local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. Services: For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
