This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock large quantities, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. The board is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, use our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many drive PCBs store unique parameters in a ROM memory chip; that data is required for correct operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be moved or programmed onto the replacement board. If you cannot perform this yourself, a local computer technician can typically transplant the chip. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transferring the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement with the proper ROM data.
