This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These PCBs are sold for hard drive repair and data recovery purposes. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement board will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration and configuration data on a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can normally perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
