This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. These logic boards are intended for HDD repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, please confirm compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and run the steps in our hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue. Most PCBs store unique service data in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data must be present on the replacement board for the drive to operate correctly. If the original ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform that task. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
