This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive PCBs contain unique ROM memory data that is required for normal operation; the ROM chip or its data must be moved to or restored on the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
