This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / Logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. These PCBs are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery. Because we stock a large quantity of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Before ordering, verify that replacing the PCB will resolve your problem by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store unique calibration and configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If physical chip transplant is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service — we will either move the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
