This listing is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact circuit board you receive may vary slightly from the images. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery use. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will address your problem by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive circuit boards contain unique calibration/configuration data stored in a ROM memory chip; that information is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers who spend $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
