This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. The PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards store essential information in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be copied to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For customers with purchases of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
