This listing is for a hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large quantity of PCBs in stock, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. To confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide. Verify part compatibility before purchase by consulting the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers who purchase $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
