This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. We stock a large number of these PCBs, so the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verifying compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function correctly. That ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either relocating the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
