This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and HDD repair. Important: most WD PCBs contain unique information stored in the ROM "memory" chip that is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board; if feasible, a local computer technician can perform the chip transplant.
