Product is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board (PCB) ONLY — hard drive is not included. We maintain a large inventory of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, confirm whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique calibration/settings in a ROM "memory" chip; this ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can typically move the chip for you. For customers spending $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
