Product is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board (PCB) ONLY — hard drive platters, enclosure, and any other parts are NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery applications. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our "Hard Drive Diagnostics" guide, and verify part compatibility using the "Donor Matching Guide." Many hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either physically relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
