Product is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for use in HDD repair or data recovery scenarios. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by consulting our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board — a local computer technician can usually perform the physical chip swap. For customers who purchase $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the proper ROM data.
