This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of these PCBs, the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs include a unique ROM "memory" chip containing essential data required for proper operation. That ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board (or the new board reprogrammed) for the drive to function. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that either relocates the ROM chip to the new PCB or programs the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
