This sale includes the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we keep a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement PCB will solve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirming compatibility via the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer; alternatively, we offer complimentary adaptation service for orders of $60 or more, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip or reprogramming the new PCB with the correct ROM data.
