This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the physical hard drive is NOT included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Purpose: This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide. Also verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: Most hard drive PCBs store unique configuration data in a ROM "memory" chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly, so the ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. Services: For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
