This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large stock of PCBs, the actual board shipped may differ slightly from the image shown. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before purchasing, verify that a replacement board will solve your problem by using our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirming compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most of these hard drive circuit boards contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be moved or copied to the replacement board. If the chip can be transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that either transfers the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
