This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is NOT included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photos. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many WD SATA 2.5 PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for correct drive operation and must be transferred or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we provide complimentary adaptation service: we will either transfer the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement with the correct ROM data.
