This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive included. We stock a large quantity of PCBs, so the actual board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: hard drive repair or data recovery. Before purchasing, confirm a PCB replacement is the correct fix by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM (memory) chip that is required for the drive to operate. That ROM chip — or its ROM data — must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved to the new circuit board, a local computer technician can typically perform that task. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
