This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Important: most hard drive PCBs hold unique data in a ROM "memory" chip; that information is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the procedure. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transplant the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
