This listing is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive is not included. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This replacement board is intended for HDD repair or data recovery use. Important compatibility notes: most Western Digital PCBs store critical calibration and configuration in a ROM memory chip on the board. That ROM data must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement PCB for the drive to function correctly. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to transplant it to the new board.
