This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to our large PCB inventory, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a board swap will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and checking compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique, required data in the ROM "memory" chip; that information must be transferred to the replacement board for the drive to function properly. If possible, the ROM chip or its data can be moved to the new PCB — a local computer technician can usually perform this task. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
