This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we maintain a large inventory, the actual PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photograph. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Before ordering, confirm that replacing the PCB will address your issue by consulting our Hard Drive Diagnostics Guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs store unique settings in a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly. The ROM chip itself or its data must be copied to the replacement board—if the chip can be moved, a qualified local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers spending $60 or more, we include complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
