This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. These PCBs are sold for hard drive repair and data-recovery work. Because we stock a large number of boards, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Important: many hard drive PCBs contain unique ROM memory that is required for the drive to function. That ROM data (or the ROM chip itself) must be transferred to the replacement board, or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM content. If you can physically move the ROM chip, a local computer technician should be able to perform that operation. Before buying, verify compatibility by consulting our Donor Matching Guide and run diagnostics with the hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a PCB swap is appropriate. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip onto the replacement PCB or reprogramming the new board with the correct ROM data.
