This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we keep a large stock of PCBs, the exact board you receive may look slightly different from the photo. These replacement circuit boards are intended for hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs contain a unique ROM memory chip that holds data required for the drive to function; that ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If transplanting the ROM chip is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the procedure. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
