This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. We stock large quantities of these PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Designed for data recovery and hard drive repair work. Before ordering, confirm that a replacement PCB will address your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD PCBs contain unique data stored in a ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to operate correctly. That ROM chip, or its contents, must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either relocating the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
