This listing is for the hard drive circuit board / logic board only — the hard drive itself is NOT included. Because we stock large quantities, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or HDD repair. Before ordering, verify that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and confirm compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: many hard drive circuit boards contain unique information stored in a ROM ("memory") chip that is required for the drive to function. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — we will either transfer the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogram the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
