This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Due to large stock of compatible PCBs, the actual board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended for HDD repair and data recovery work. Prior to purchasing, confirm that a PCB swap will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique firmware stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that ROM data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip itself, or its data, must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service: either transplanting the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
