This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of compatible PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store unique calibration/firmware in a ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip itself or its data must be moved to or programmed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically transferred, a local computer technician can usually perform the swap. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
