This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we maintain a large inventory of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the picture. Intended use: data recovery and hard drive repair. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your problem by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs hold unique drive-specific data in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved to the new PCB, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transfer. For orders of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
