This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no HDD is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the picture. The PCB is intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a replacement board will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many PCBs store vital, unique data on a ROM memory chip; that ROM data is required for proper drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement PCB (or the new board reprogrammed). If a ROM transplant is possible, a local computer technician can usually perform the physical transfer. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service — either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the board with the correct ROM data.
