This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board only — no hard drive is included. Because we stock a large number of PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. These circuit boards are intended for use in data recovery and hard drive repair. To determine whether replacing the PCB will resolve your issue, please follow our hard drive diagnostics guide and confirm compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Most hard drive PCBs contain unique configuration data stored in a ROM (memory) chip; that information is required for proper drive operation and must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service that includes either moving the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
