This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive included. We carry a large inventory, so the PCB you receive may vary slightly from the pictured unit. The board is intended for hard drive repair and data recovery tasks. Prior to purchase, verify compatibility using our Donor Matching Guide and follow the hard drive diagnostics guide to determine whether a replacement PCB will resolve your problem. Most HDD PCBs contain unique configuration data stored on a ROM "memory" chip; this information is required for the drive to function and must be transferred or reprogrammed onto the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be moved, a local computer technician can typically perform the transfer. For purchases of $60 or more we provide a complimentary adaptation service, which includes either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or programming the correct ROM data onto the board.
