This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — the drive is not included. Because we have a large inventory of these PCBs, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This part is intended for use in hard drive repair or data recovery scenarios. Before purchasing, confirm whether a replacement PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive Diagnostics Guide and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most drive circuit boards store unique parameters in the ROM (memory) chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician should be able to move the chip for you. For customers with a purchase of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service that covers either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
