This sale is for the hard drive printed circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive is included. Because we have a large inventory, the exact PCB you receive may differ slightly from the photo. Intended use: data recovery or repair of compatible WD 3.5" SATA drives. Before purchasing, confirm that replacing the PCB will resolve your issue by following our hard drive diagnostics guide, and verify part compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most hard drive PCBs store essential, unique data in the ROM memory chip. That ROM data is required for the drive to function correctly, so the ROM chip or its contents must be moved to the replacement board or the new board must be reprogrammed with the correct ROM data. If you cannot perform the transfer yourself, a local computer technician can often transplant the chip. For customers spending $60 or more, we provide a complimentary adaptation service that will either transplant the ROM chip onto your new PCB or reprogram the board with the proper ROM data.
