This sale is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) only — the hard drive itself is not included. Because we stock a large quantity of PCBs, the exact board you receive may vary slightly from the photo. Intended uses: hard drive repair or data recovery. To confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, please run our hard drive diagnostics guide first. Verify compatibility by consulting the Donor Matching Guide. Important: most PCBs store unique, drive-specific information in the ROM memory chip that is required for the drive to function properly. The ROM chip or its data must be transferred to the replacement board. If the ROM chip can be physically moved, a local computer technician should be able to perform the transplant. For customers with orders of $60 or more, we include a complimentary adaptation service — either transplanting the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
