This sale is for the hard drive PCB / logic board ONLY — no HDD is included. We keep a large stock of PCBs, so the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the pictured unit. Intended for use in hard drive repair and data recovery work. Before purchasing, confirm that a PCB replacement will address your issue by using our hard drive diagnostics guide and check compatibility with the Donor Matching Guide. Many hard drive PCBs contain unique information stored in a ROM "memory" chip; that data is required for the drive to operate correctly. The ROM chip (or its contents) must be transferred to the replacement board. If the chip can be physically moved, a qualified local computer technician can typically perform the transplant. For orders of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service, which covers either moving the ROM chip onto the new PCB or reprogramming the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
