This listing is for the hard drive circuit board (PCB / logic board) ONLY — no hard drive or other components are included. Because we have a large inventory, the exact board you receive may differ slightly from the photo. This PCB is intended for hard drive repair or data recovery use. Before ordering, review our hard drive diagnostics guide to confirm a replacement PCB will resolve your issue, and verify compatibility using the Donor Matching Guide. Most WD circuit boards store unique calibration and configuration data in the ROM "memory" chip; that ROM data is required for correct drive operation. The ROM chip or its contents must be transferred to the replacement board; if the chip itself can be moved, a local computer technician can usually perform the transplant. For purchases of $60 or more we include a complimentary adaptation service that either moves the ROM chip to the new PCB or reprograms the replacement board with the correct ROM data.
